The peripheral zone Rodo Park (amusement park) is a suitable place to enjoy good times, that is, if I had the ability to choose which moments I enjoy more than others, these, would be in the small castle Parque Rodo, that's safe.
And there I was the last Saturday of November, ready to have a great time at a rock concert street. Beyond the gray day was not the best context for a summer afternoon, the expectations for a promising band appeased any inconvenience climate.
is that I personally had a debt to The Ravengers, even if not economic, but if you meet once and for all, the promise of witnessing the band from a fellow faculty. But at the time of fire, that subjectivity (by proximity, however minimal, that I had with the band), was changed to an even greater subjectivity, but the disease it causes. Trying to compile what happened to me with The Ravengers on Saturday afternoon, it would be quite meaningless. And as of this writing, I was born into question with two outputs: the first, should return to see this crazy sound and stay with that polaroid psychedelic-dance, or (here's the second) tie these young travelers for a long time? It was so revealing and straightforward as that generated for which we came across the band from Canelones, at least in my case I get to question my new fans for them, so much so, that was so sure of what I would pass, I decided to turn off my phone; not want anything to get me out of what was to come.
With clear mind to dance, Los Ravengers know what they do, and do it well. With a lineup of guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, make it through the psychedelic Rushing progress to reach a satanic pop dance with rage and pleasure.
In each song, take you from the more noisy and addictive riff, something representative of much rock and roll seriously, until light and fast dance, a true classic brand of pop. Is that these canaries (not sure everyone is on these lands, but it bores me out now), they manage to put in a blender everything of interest in two of the most significant styles of XX century, and make songs, that beyond its duration; never let rest in virtuosity.
The audience, mostly middle-aged rockers, Rolling street "and the odd couple approach the noise, took a great surprise to those that really matter, as when you see a band that surprisingly well for its power, you got a clear idea of \u200b\u200bthat promise.
And if perhaps not arm a dance at 19 pm in the Parque Rodo, it was not for lack of music, but because even in this land, not very well seen that the moving rocker joint public.
But there was a public sector, who no matter what your image to the outside, and were delivered to the dancing fever Los Ravengers. A group of just four children (3 to 7 years), very close to the band, were in a trance, as if they were Indians around the fire, dancing all these kids psychedelic session.
not clear how many songs were played, the name of them (only that the singer, Ismael, had) or speaking (the sound of the voice was not the best), because they do not pay attention, and for that moment my mind was dancing wildly like these children. But there was something I was sure I had met a band that did something different, authentic and real.
After finished the recital of The Ravengers, I remember that I was congratulating my friend Ismael, stunning them, telling my trip, and at that time, looked in his face, I realized that he too had his own ; riding his Telecaster We had walked through their world.
A world that I recommend to all those who have the opportunity to see these Gurises, that beyond what they do, they know what they do.
Note: Ravengers were the first band of "Rocanroler in El Castillo Del Parque Rodo" and this was a kind of chronicle of that "festival" but the truth, after seeing these kids on fire on stage, who could not go after and more, I disconnected from the world until the other day.
